New Maui Wowi Store at Camp Pendleton!

Maui Wowi Opens at Camp Pendleton Marine Base, San Diego California!

Kathleen Yang opens her first Co Branded location with her husband and daughter by her side. She has a great staff behind her as well!
The 1379 Square foot Co Brand located in the main shopping center just beyond the main gates offers simple teriyaki plates along with our natural smoothies and coffee. The store is beautifully decorated and highly visible from the main road.
Opening your location on a Military base offers amazing opportunities. Kathleen is taking advantage of them all! She has been operating her trailer during construction of her location and will continue to operate it off the main road in the mornings as a drive thru location. But, why lock it up after morning hours? Kathleen plans to take advantage of the ample event opportunities on the base to continue to put our great products in the hands of the 60,000 people working on the base each day and the many more who call Camp Pendleton home.
Despite a couple first day glitches, the POS system (which was pre owned) crashed the night before we were set to open and we ended up opening with a calculator and a note pad, it was a hugely successful opening. Kathleen had an over 1200.00 day with no marketing or advertising that she was open. The removal of the Coming Soon sign brought soldiers in to enjoy the atmosphere and some great smoothies by the dozens.

It's such a pleasure to hand these guys a nice cold Fresh Fruit Smoothie the day they return from Iraq. You can see how much they miss the little freedoms we enjoy every day in America and often don't think about."

This is Maui Wowis 2nd Military location to open with many more slotted in 2009/2010. We have created a great relationship with the military (perhaps the 1000 lbs of 100% Kona Coffee we sent to Afghanistan helped), but the true test is the professionalism and drive of the individual franchise owners.
